M40, Junction 5 – Follow signs to Ibstone and follow road through village. After 2 miles the road drops steeply and you come to a T-junction, turn left and after 150yds turn right into Skirmett. Approximately 150yards after the “Skirmett” village sign turn right up a private drive (there is a “Private Drive” and a footpath sign at the entrance). Poynatts Cottage is the first house on the right after the tennis court.

M40, Junction 4 – Take the A4010 off the roundabout and follow signs for Booker and Lane End. Go through Lane End, after ¾ mile you arrive at a crossroads with the Peacock pub on the right, turn left down the hill (towards Fingest and Ibstone). Pass through Fingest into Skirmett. Approximately 150yards after the “Skirmett” village sign turn right up a private drive (there is a “Private Drive” and a footpath sign at the entrance). Poynatts Cottage is the first house on the right after the tennis court.

M4, Junction 8/9 – Take A404 and head for Marlow. (See below for directions from Marlow).

Marlow – Turn left at the top of the High Street (signed A4155), follow signs for Henley. After 4 miles you come to Mill End, turn right following signs for Skirmett. (See directions stating ‘At Mill End’ from ‘Henley-on-Thames’ below).

Henley-on-Thames – Take A4155 towards Marlow. At Mill End turn left (follow signs for Skirmett). After nearly three miles you will arrive in Skirmett. The drive for Poynatts Cottage is about 200yards past The Frog pub on the left (there is a “Private Drive” and a footpath sign at the entrance). Turn up the drive and Poynatts Cottage is the first on the right after the tennis court.
